Below is the application for Breath RPG. You have two options. You can reply to this thread, and your comments will be screened in order to protect your bio. Should your bio be long, LJ may require you to break it into pieces. In that eventuality, simply reply to your own post with the sections. If accepted please DO NOT post this information in your Livejournal! Much of this information is for your eyes only, as well as the Reeve's. Once accepted into the OOC Community, a public profile can be found (and will be linked to you) that can be placed in the profile of your character LJ.

The Reeve tries not to be too much of a stickler about PBs, but if a character's image just does not fit, then it doesn't fit. The Reeve doesn't much care where your PB is from- an actor, model or singer- he's seen it all. But please choose an age- and style-appropriate PB. A twenty-something cannot pass for a Seventh Year, so a thirty- or forty-something definitely can't.

There are DOZENS of icon-related sites for exactly the situation you are in now. Say the word, and I'll start throwing links at you.

The Reeve doesn't want to start an active ban on any individual PBs, but suffice it to say there are inappropriate PBs out there. For example- Emo is not yet a truly mainstreamed counterculture in 1997, at least not appearing in its current fashion state. By the same token, some superstar musicians or superstar actors just are too out there for a good PB choice.

Here's your chance to sell your idea. For Personality and History, discuss each in any reasonable amount of detail that you think is both relevant and interesting. There is no minimum length. If you feel you've sold your character in two paragraphs each, grand. if you need a page each, take that page.

<big>SECTION FOUR: Writing Sample</big>

In a past or present-tense, third person sample, please write a 200+ word reaction/scene to ONE of the following.

1)  Your character has just discovered a traitor within their chosen group, but there is only one problem.  They have proven to often be more adept than you at dueling.  Write a scene on your character's reactions to this discovery, keeping in mind their personality and abilities.

2)  There is a rumor that the Carrows have taken a second year boy in for interrogation regarding his questionable Blood Status.  Depending on your loyalties, how do you react to and/or use this news?  Roleplay out your views and actions.

3)  The DA is rumored to be attempting to protect a group of Muggleborns who have come to relay information about Harry Potter's whereabouts.  They may or may not be entering the castle.  Depending on your allegiance, play out a scene where your character reacts to this news.

Following below is the complete cast list of known Canon characters available as Hogwarts students. Original students below seventh year will be considered case by case, but only to fill in the available slots- an original cannot usurp the position of a canon, known student.

Below the Student List are a number of 'unclaimed' canon names, which can be taken as either gender, and of virtually any of the four houses. There is a special section of seventh year names, which should be selected from in order to fill [Open Slot] positions, as they are more canon than not. There are four such positions.

Characters in GOLD are currently under a hold. The date next to it is the day the hold expires.
LINKED characters are taken.
~~STRICKEN~~ characters are not available, either because they are pending, dead or not available as a player character currently. Certain characters will eventually become open in play- namely, non-student Originals, non-Student Canons and Muggleborn escapees.
RED characters have some degree of backstory or previous plot. Please contact the Reeve to discuss it.
(HB) indicates Head Boy status.
(HG) indicates Head Girl status.
(Q) indicates a Quidditch player (followed by an S, K, B or C).
(P) indicates this character is a Prefect.

Holds are for five (5) days, due to the nature of the application. You may ask for a 24 hour extension on your hold. Currently, we will allow hold challenges on characters if they are placed within 24 hours.

There are no restrictions on the age or year of your character. You may play a student between first and seventh year. However, it should be noted that many players will likely choose a character who are fifth year and above. For simplicity sake, all canons are listed but only 6th and 7th years have their own devoted section currently. Interest will dictate otherwise.
